Anthurium Care Guide

Anthurium Care Guide

The flowers that bloom on the Anthurium are the longest-lasting flowers on earth. Meaning their gorgeous, bright, shine will illuminate your home for monthhs. Native to the tropical rainforests of Columbia, Guatamala, and the Amazon region of Brazil, this plant loves a warm, humid environment. The Anthurium symbolizes hospitality and inspires happiness and abundance.

  • Light

The Anthurium will thrive in bright, indirect light. The more light exposure it is getting, the more blooms you will see.

  • Water

Let the soil of your Anthurium dry out about 50-75% of the way. Allow the water to drain out of the drainage holes and discard any water left in the tray. Do not let your plant sit in water.

  • Humidity & Temp

Your Anthurium loves a humid environment. To increase humidity mist daily, run a humidifier, or create a pebble tray. Don't allow temperatures to drop below 65 or go above 85. Avoid placing near an air vent.

  • Soil

Almost any well-draining potting mix will be sufficient for your Anthurium. Our go-to recommendation for a high-quality soil that’s fast draining is Fox Farms Ocean Forest.

  • Fertilizer

Your Anthurium will appreciate being fed once a month in the spring and summer months.
